Peek Kai Tod is a very popular street food, we love to eat with steam sticky rice for breakfast.
If you are in Thailand and look around on the street in the morning, there is sidecar fry chicken. You can buy and eat it hot. We call it sidecar because you usually find people selling food from their motorbike that have sidecar attached. The sidecar usually has everything you need to cook the food. It is very popular to see people selling food along the street like this in Thailand. It is mostly all very tasty and fresh food. Much better than the fast food chains that sell burgers 🙂 (McD)… Talking about that its really making me missing home now.
Anyway, I can’t go home and fulfil that feeling now, so that’s why I have to cook it myself.
Not just me, my Thai friend across the road she said my fry chicken is the best. Normally she bring some Som Tam (Papaya salad) and I make fry chicken and pretend like we are in Thailand 🙂
There are several recipes to do fry chicken but I find my one is very easy and crispy plus you don’t need to waste the time for marinade. Because we cut the chicken into small side and using very cold water to mix up.
Let’s find out what I talking about. and you will enjoy it and feel like you are in Thailand!
Method
- Add chicken wings in a medium bowl, following with fish sauce, flour, white pepper power and cold water. Give them mix well before add the sesame seed and give another mix.
- Add the oil in a deep fry pan or wok, wait till the oil heat and then fry the chicken wings.
- Take it out from the oil when they turn golden and brown.
