Stir fry prawn with asparagus

Ingredients
- 20 spears asparagus, trimmed and cut 2 inch
- 1 tbsp veg oil
- 10 medium prawns, peel and veins removed
- 2-3 gloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/4 cup water
Asparagus is a delicious vegetable, the name “asparagus” comes from the Greek language meaning “sprout” or “shoot”. Thai people call asparagus as Nor Mai Farang which is mean”Foreigner’s bamboo shoot”. The very first Asparagus has been brought to Thailand from Europe and Roman many many year ago. So I guess this is the fact behind the name and also Thai people call European as Farang and call bamboo shoot as Nor Mai.
Method
- Heat a large frying pan with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Stir-fry the garlic until turn golden and brown.
- Add in the asparagus, prawns, oyster sauce and fish sauce, add some water if the sauce is too thick.
- Fry for about 5 minutes, the prawns is cooked very easy and ensure the asparagus are not too soft and have the crunchy tasty in the same time.
- Serve with rice! what a lovely tasty and easy dish.
